Cash Rules Everything Around Me
April is Financial Literacy Month. I don’t know about every one else but I have got to do better. Forty dollars isn’t much, but it’s a start. By years end saving this small amount each month you’ll have $320. Then imagine if instead of sticking it in a drawer, under a mattress or in a savings account, you actually invested the money. With companies like TD Ameritrade, Scottrade, Etrade and The Acorns App you don’t have to be rich to start investing in your future. While Scottrade and Etrade require a minimum $500 deposit for investment accounts. You can start with less than $100 using TD Ameritrade and Acorns. It’s time to eat out a little less and save a lot more. Every time I pull up to get take out I’m thinking “I don’t know why I’m spending money on restaurant food knowing half of it ain’t even real.” So my pledge is to stop eating away at my nest egg (literally) and create a budget that is doable. You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. So I guess this post is a step in the right direction.
